Lottery hopefuls could go to space for just $20 as giant becomes first-in-world to send scratch-off

GAMBLERS that come up trumps on a new lotto game could be lucky enough to go to space if their luck is in.

Texas lottery execs have announced that eight people will receive a unique opportunity and flights will begin in 2025.

But only four ticket holders will be selected for the historic Space Perspective flight and each gambler can bring one guest, per The Texas Lottery.

The Texas Lottery has made history as it is the first lotto company to offer space flights and the prize is linked to its Cash Blast game.

Players have the opportunity to enter the Space Perspective Cash Adventure promotion.

A Cash Blast scratch-off ticket costs just $20 and games can be bought from any store that sells Texas Lottery tickets.

Players that do not win the $1 million jackpot will be entered into a program, known as the Texas Lottery’s Luck Zone.

There will be several drawings and 75 winners and guests will be rewarded with a trip to the iconic Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

They will have the opportunity of winning daily cash prizes.

They will be treated to a VIP space-themed party at the Courtyard by Marriott Titusville Kennedy Space Center hotel – less than 15 miles from the Kennedy Space Center.

The winners will also enjoy a meet and greet event with an astronaut and immerse themselves in a tour of the iconic space center.

Lotto chiefs have branded the space trip a “one-of-a-kind experience” and the passengers will experience a six-hour journey on board the Spaceship Neptune craft.

The journey starts on either land or sea, and travelers will experience an ocean landing when the spacecraft splashes down.

"Through the Space Perspective Cash Adventure Promotion, we are able to elevate the thrill of playing Texas Lottery games by offering chances to win a one-of-a-kind experience," Ryan Mindell, the deputy executive director of the Texas Lottery.

There is Wi-Fi onboard the vessel, the world’s only carbon-neutral spaceship.

It means space explorers can live-stream the journey and share stunning snaps on their social media channels.

Jane Poynter, the founder, and co-CEO of Space Perspective, said: “Many Americans have only dreamed of space travel.

“We have completely reimagined human space travel with an option that is safe, accessible, and gentle on our planet.

"With no training required, it’s as easy as being on an airplane.”

The Spaceship Neptune is fuelled by renewable hydrogen and is not powered by rockets.

The balloon that lifts the Spaceship Neptune has been used during space missions with Nasa.

Its technology has been used by space agencies more than 1,000 times and has a 100% success rate.

Passengers will be treated to a world-class dining experience, cocktails, and spectacular views of Earth, according to Poynter.

They will not experience any weightlessness or heavy G-forces when they reach space.
